Call for Cultural Projects (South Africa, Eswatini and Lesotho)

The German Embassy Pretoria invites artists, creative people and cultural institutions from South Africa, Eswatini and Lesotho to apply with their project ideas for support from the Embassy's cultural fund.
30 years of democracy in South Africa, 35 years after the Fall of the Berlin Wall in Germany and increasingly complex challenges worldwide are reasons to strengthen the relationships between the states in the field of visual and performing arts, in the field of film and media and in the field of remembrance.
The following culture areas are examples of what may be supported:
art and exhibitions
music, theatre and dance
literature events, movies, radio, gaming and digital arts
remembrance and memorial policy
The suggested projects should have a connection to Germany and/ or German culture.

Funding Information
Funding of between 2.000 to 5.000 Euros could be granted. Support of the Embassy will be limited by the available budget for the year 2024 and will only be allocated in the first quarter 2024. Please note that only positive applications will be notified.
