The Rapid Response Window on Women's Participation in Peace Processes and Peace Agreements
About
The RRW is an urgent funding mechanism launched in 2020 to support women’s meaningful participation in formal peace processes (Track 1 or 2) and the implementation of peace agreements.
It provides funding or support to local women’s organizations or women peacebuilders to facilitate their participation in negotiations or monitoring peace agreements.
Grant Size
Short-Term Grants: up to $100,000 USD maximum.
Direct Support: service support (not a grant) up to $30,000 USD maximum.
Eligibility
Eligible: Local/national women’s rights organizations, girls’ or youth-led organizations, civil society coalitions/alliances, legally registered organizations (or externally registered in high-risk contexts).
For “Direct Support,” individual or collective women peace campaigns, informal women groups, or women-led civil alliances may apply.
Not eligible: International NGOs, government agencies, private foundations, political parties, UN agencies, universities or research centers, private sector institutions.
Projects must relate to: women’s participation in a formal peace process (Track 1 or 2) or implementation/monitoring of a peace agreement; projects focusing only on local community activities unrelated to peace processes or general awareness-raising are not accepted.
