“Resourcing Resilience” – Investing in Civil Society Leadership to End Violence against Women and Girls
UN Trust Fund to End Violence against Women (under UN Women)
Projects must take place in countries or territories listed as Official Development Assistance (ODA)-eligible by the OECD Development Assistance Committee (DAC).
This includes low- and middle-income countries across Africa, Asia, the Middle East, Latin America, and the Pacific.
Special focus is given to projects supporting:
Adolescent girls and young women
Women and girls with disabilities
Indigenous women and girls
Refugees and internally displaced women and girls
Women affected by crises or climate change
Projects may be implemented in one country or across several countries (up to 10 ODA-eligible countries).
Grant Size
Minimum: USD 150,000
Maximum: USD 800,000
Duration: Up to 4 years
Organizations may allocate:
Up to 18% of the grant for institutional strengthening if they are small organizations.
Up to 12% for larger organizations (covering costs such as staff wellbeing, safety, monitoring & evaluation, accessibility, and organizational resilience).
The grant aims to:
Strengthen women’s rights organizations and movements.
Enhance leadership and resilience of civil society actors.
Support innovative, evidence-based, and intersectional approaches to end violence against women and girls worldwide.

Eligibility
To qualify for this grant, applicants must meet the following criteria:
Be a Civil Society Organization (CSO) legally registered for at least 5 years (or 3 years in exceptional cases).
Have a proven track record in ending violence against women and girls (EVAWG) or promoting women’s rights.
Have an average annual budget of at least USD 50,000 over the past three years.
Be women-led or women’s rights-focused organizations are strongly prioritized.
Government bodies, UN agencies, and individuals are not eligible.
Organizations that previously received a UN Trust Fund grant can reapply only if their current grant ends by November 19, 2025, and their new proposal builds upon lessons learned or scales up prior work.
