RFAs: Strategic Communications and Investment Climate Programme (Nepal)

The U.S. Embassy in Nepal invites proposals for initiatives aimed at strengthening the country’s investment climate by improving policy communication, enhancing regulatory transparency, and fostering public–private sector engagement. The program supports strategic communications, AI-driven policy analysis, and evidence-based advocacy to advance economic governance reforms. Activities may include capacity building for entrepreneurs, business leaders, government officials, civil society organizations, and policy stakeholders; facilitation of public–private dialogue sessions to address regulatory barriers; and development of sustainable networks of trained actors engaged in ongoing reform efforts. The program emphasizes reducing regulatory obstacles, improving administrative efficiency, and enhancing predictability in the business environment to encourage trade, innovation, and foreign direct investment. Projects may run from one to twelve months, with an award amount of up to USD 25,000.
Eligibility
Eligible applicants include U.S. and Nepal-based non-governmental organizations, think tanks, research institutions, and private sector entities with demonstrated expertise in strategic communications, economic policy, and investment climate reform. Applicants must show relevant experience in implementing projects that strengthen policy communication, regulatory transparency, and private sector engagement. Proposals will be evaluated based on technical capacity, institutional credibility, and commitment to advancing evidence-based advocacy and economic governance reforms.
