Grant Size $1000 to $10,000   ,   Closing Date

About

ISAR Unity announces the second wave of the First Successful Grant Program (FSGP) to strengthen newly established civil society organizations in Ukraine. The program provides a comprehensive package of organizational development, mentoring, and grant support to help young organizations build sustainable practices and implement socially important initiatives.

Through the School of Organizational Development, participants will attend two intensive three-day offline training modules, complete practical assignments, and receive tailored mentoring from ISAR Unity experts. Successful completion of the training enables organizations to apply for grants of up to UAH 400,000 to implement projects lasting three to six months. Supported initiatives may include community building, democratic transformation, legal and managerial capacity development, financial resource management, support for frontline and war-affected regions, assistance to veterans and their families, and resilience and recovery efforts in war-affected communities.

The program also fosters networking among emerging organizations across Ukraine, encouraging collaboration, shared learning, and stronger civil society engagement.

Eligibility

The program is open to officially registered public and charitable non-profit organizations in Ukraine that were established after February 24, 2022 and have no more than four years of operational experience. Eligible applicants must demonstrate the ability to manage financial resources and implement initiatives, maintain a committed team of at least two members ready to participate in training and organizational development, and present a clear idea for a socially important project. Participation requires completion of all program stages, including training modules and intermodule tasks. During selection, priority will be given to organizations working in frontline and war-affected regions, supporting the Defense Forces of Ukraine, assisting veterans and their families, and contributing to the recovery and resilience of war-affected communities. The process includes application submission, online interviews for shortlisted candidates, participation in the School of Organizational Development, preparation of grant applications, and project implementation with ongoing mentoring support.
