Grant Size Not Available   ,   Closing Date

About

This UN Women BiH initiative aims to enhance the safety, resilience, and collective action of women human rights defenders and women journalists in Bosnia and Herzegovina, enabling their secure and meaningful participation in public discourse, decision-making, and peacebuilding processes. The programme addresses pervasive gender-specific hate speech and associated threats that hinder civic engagement. With an indicative funding range of BAM 200,000 to 220,000, the 24-month project will run from 1 January 2027 to 31 December 2028 across Bosnia and Herzegovina. Supported activities include delivering comprehensive safety, legal, psychosocial, and digital-security assistance, alongside establishing professional mentoring schemes, peer-support networks, and collaborative advocacy initiatives.

Eligibility

Applicants must be qualified civil society organizations capable of implementing the programme within Bosnia and Herzegovina. Selected organizations must be willing to accept the standard legal terms and conditions outlined in the UN Partner Agreement and successfully complete registration for verification on the UN Partner Portal.
