Low Value Grant for PPPs and PPCPs in Sorong (Indonesia)
About
The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) is inviting applications for the Low Value Grant under the Food Systems, Land Use and Restoration (FOLUR) Project in Indonesia. This funding opportunity aims to strengthen sustainable commodity production and improve the livelihoods of smallholder farmers in Sorong Regency, Southwest Papua Province, through the establishment and enhancement of public–private partnerships (PPPs) and public–private–community partnerships (PPCPs). The grant supports initiatives focused on sustainable oil palm, sago, and areca nut value chains, smallholder inclusion, market access, sustainable financing, traceability systems, and measurable environmental and socioeconomic benefits. The program promotes sustainable land management, ecosystem restoration, biodiversity conservation, and inclusive economic development while encouraging women-led and youth-led green micro-enterprises. Eligible activities may include beneficiary verification and landscape assessments, partnership development, farmer capacity building, cooperative strengthening, market access and certification support, innovative financing mechanisms, and the development of integrated sustainable business models that can be replicated across landscapes. Projects must be implemented in the designated Centres of Excellence of Klasari and Klasowoh and/or the priority villages of Wonosobo, Ninjimor, and Sakamerin. A total funding envelope of USD 100,000 is available for Sorong Regency, with projects expected to be implemented over a 12-month period from December 2026 to November 2027.
