Call for Proposals: School Canteen Activities (Central African Republic)
About
The World Food Programme (WFP) invites qualified cooperation partners to implement locally procured school-feeding interventions across targeted areas of the Central African Republic to improve child nutrition and support community resilience. Running from January 1 to December 31, 2027, the program connects school canteen operations with locally sourced food to benefit students while economically empowering small-scale producers. Eligible activities include community mobilization, management and monitoring of school canteens, food storage and delivery to selected schools, local procurement from small-scale producers, and the establishment of robust complaints, feedback, and accountability mechanisms for affected populations. WFP will provide comprehensive technical support, comprising training of trainers, operational tools and procedures, reporting assistance, mechanism quality monitoring, and case resolution guidance.
Eligibility
Applicants must be qualified cooperation partners capable of collaborating effectively with WFP, relevant government institutions, and local communities within the specified regions of the Central African Republic. Submitted proposals will be evaluated based on the organization's local presence, access and security capacities, relevant UN and sector experience, and overall project management competence. Additional evaluation considerations include the clarity and relevance of proposed activities, work plan feasibility, cost-effectiveness, partner contributions, project sustainability, and the integration of innovative approaches.
