The Culture Resource Wijhat Grants Program supports artists and cultural practitioners from the Arab region by funding their participation in regional and international artistic and cultural activities. The program provides opportunities for engagement in cultural fairs, artistic residencies, conferences, forums, seminars, workshops, and other initiatives that encourage artistic production, professional development, and capacity building. Through financial assistance, Wijhat aims to enhance cultural mobility and enable artists to connect with broader audiences, establish professional networks, collaborate with peers, and exchange knowledge and creative experiences across borders. Grants of up to €7,000 are available to cover key travel-related expenses, including airfare, visa fees, accommodation, local transportation, and partial living costs. The program supports travel within the Arab region, from outside the region to Arab countries, and from the Arab region to international destinations, ensuring broad access to cultural exchange and collaboration opportunities.

Eligibility

The program is open to both individuals and groups working across various artistic disciplines, including visual arts, performing arts, literature, and music, as well as cultural practitioners operating independently or through cultural institutions and organizations. Applicants must seek support for participation in eligible artistic or cultural activities relevant to the objectives of the program. While there is no fixed duration for travel or residency, funding is limited to the time frame of the activity or event specified in the submitted application.
