Call for Applications: Wildlife Acoustics Grants
About
The Wildlife Acoustics Grant Program provides quarterly support to scientists and early-career professionals engaged in wildlife research, habitat monitoring, and environmental conservation. The program advances the study of terrestrial species—including bats, birds, amphibians, and other wildlife—by offering specialized recording equipment, accessories, and analysis software. In addition to product support, the program awards one travel grant per quarter to enable early-career professionals to present their research at international conferences.
Each quarter, up to USD $12,000 in products are distributed, with individual applicants eligible to request up to USD $4,000 in equipment and software. A separate travel grant of up to USD $1,000 covers conference registration, transportation, and lodging. The program is open globally, except in Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Syria, and the Crimea Region of Ukraine. Applications must be submitted in English and include required documentation.
Eligibility
Applicants must be scientists or early-career professionals engaged in wildlife research, monitoring, or conservation. Applications must include a letter of recommendation and proof of the applicant’s organization’s tax-exempt, charitable, or educational status, except for software-only requests. The program is open worldwide, with the exception of applicants based in Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Syria, or the Crimea Region of Ukraine.
