The Digicel PNG Foundation Community Grants Program supports not‑for‑profit organizations in Papua New Guinea to deliver locally driven projects that address pressing community needs. The program provides financial assistance alongside capacity building and collaborative monitoring to ensure sustainable impact. Funding is prioritized in four thematic areas: education and literacy (community libraries, literacy programs, inclusive education, digital learning, teacher training), health (awareness campaigns, service delivery, maternal health, rehabilitation for people with disabilities, WASH initiatives, feminine hygiene), peace building (support for anti‑violence advocates, human rights defenders, safe houses, conflict resolution, violence prevention), and financial inclusion and sustainable livelihoods (poverty reduction, financial literacy, agricultural projects, and financial inclusion initiatives). Grants are available in two tiers: Tier One up to K50,000 for eligible community organizations, and Tier Two up to K100,000 for previous recipients who have successfully completed projects and demonstrated strong organizational capacity.

Eligibility

Applicants must be registered not‑for‑profit organizations with current statutory documentation, serving the majority of people in their communities, and demonstrating leadership and capacity to implement activities aligned with the Foundation’s strategic outcomes. Tier Two applicants must also show a proven track record of successful project completion and compliance with reporting requirements.
