Grant Size Not Available   ,   Closing Date

About

The United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) Cameroon invites applications for a partnership opportunity under its 2027–2031 multi-year strategy to strengthen national protection monitoring and risk analysis systems across Cameroon. The initiative focuses on key regions including the Centre and East, with particular attention to the Extreme North, East, North-West, and South-West regions. The program aims to promote equitable and predictable access to territory, asylum procedures, and civil documentation for refugees and asylum seekers through harmonized protection monitoring, early risk identification, and evidence-based analysis. Activities will support protection programming, coordination, and advocacy while addressing gender-based violence prevention and response, child protection, access to justice, and effective remedies for refugees, asylum seekers, internally displaced persons, returnees, and stateless persons. Partners will contribute to community-based protection monitoring, alert and referral mechanisms, rapid protection responses including psychosocial support and, where appropriate, monetary protection assistance, while strengthening refugee- and women-led community networks. The initiative further promotes the localization of protection monitoring and coordination functions through capacity strengthening of national and local actors and the gradual transfer of responsibilities to ensure long-term sustainability. The partnership forms part of a multi-year program framework covering the period 2027–2031; grant size has not been specified.

Eligibility

Eligible applicants are organizations with demonstrated capacity to implement protection monitoring, risk analysis, community engagement, and institutional capacity-building activities in Cameroon. Evaluation will consider applicants’ technical capacity, experience in protection-related programming, ability to deliver quality monitoring and analytical outputs, commitment to localization objectives, and alignment with UNHCR protection principles and methodologies.
