The Grant Competition for CSOs in Moldova aims to strengthen community‑based child protection services and support vulnerable families to prevent family separation and the institutionalization of children. The program focuses on prevention and early intervention, child protection and social inclusion, support for children with disabilities or special educational needs, and strengthening the capacity of parents and caregivers. It also promotes community awareness of children’s rights, enhances CSO capacity, and fosters partnerships between civil society, public authorities, and other relevant actors.

The competition will support the creation and development of at least seven social services or programs, expanding access to prevention and early intervention services for a minimum of 500 vulnerable children. Additionally, it will strengthen the capacity of at least 200 parents and caregivers through counseling, parenting education, and family‑focused support. Selected CSOs will benefit not only from financial resources but also from specialized training, technical assistance, mentoring, and partnership‑building support.

The total grant budget is €294,000, with individual projects implemented over a period of up to 18 months. Funding will cover activities such as documenting prevention models, delivering inclusive services, building organizational capacity, and promoting sustainable collaboration between CSOs and public institutions.

Eligibility

Eligible applicants must be non‑profit, non‑governmental legal entities registered in the Republic of Moldova and directly responsible for project implementation. Applicants must demonstrate ethical conduct, with no record of illegal or unethical activities, and must hold a collaboration agreement with a local, regional, or central authority. Proposals will be evaluated based on alignment with program objectives, organizational capacity, sustainability of services, and potential for impact on vulnerable children and families.
