The Awesome Foundation Conservation and Climate Micro-Grants program supports innovative, creative, and high-impact initiatives addressing environmental challenges through nature conservation, climate action, wildlife protection, habitat conservation, ecotourism, and environmental communication. Established to fill funding gaps for promising ideas that may be overlooked by larger donors, the program provides micro-grants of up to USD 1,000 to help bring implementation-ready projects to life. Priority is given to original approaches and projects with the potential to catalyze broader environmental impact and inspire action beyond the immediate community. Funding is intended for activities where a small grant can make a decisive difference in enabling implementation. The program has a global geographic scope and supports projects that are close to execution rather than early-stage concepts.

Eligibility

Applications are open to individuals and small teams from any country that are able to receive funds through PayPal, Wise, or Venmo. Applicants must submit proposals in English and clearly demonstrate how the requested funds will be used to implement the proposed project. Preference is given to innovative initiatives that address conservation, climate, wildlife, ecotourism, or environmental communication challenges in a unique way and have the potential to generate wider influence or serve as a catalyst for future action. The program does not support personal expenses, salaries, operational costs, marketing activities, travel expenses, established or ongoing projects, or activities related to politics or religion.
