Call for Proposals to Support IDPs and Host Communities in Bria
About
The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) is seeking a qualified NGO partner to implement the IDSF-Bria Resilience Initiative, aimed at strengthening the socio-economic resilience of internally displaced persons (IDPs) and host communities in Bria, Central African Republic. The program seeks to promote sustainable livelihoods, improve self-reliance, and foster peaceful coexistence between displaced populations, returnees, and host communities. Building on findings from a recent socio-economic opportunities assessment, the initiative will support income-generating activities across sectors such as local product transformation (including bakery production, soap making, and fruit processing), agriculture, small livestock farming, skilled trades, artisanal crafts, and urban transport services. The project contributes to durable solutions by enhancing access to livelihoods and reinforcing social cohesion and peace. Expected results include strengthening beneficiaries’ professional skills, supporting 25 groups to establish viable economic activities, revitalizing agricultural and livestock production, and improving community relations. The total available grant funding is USD 150,000, and the selected project must be implemented over a five-month period from contract signature under a Responsible Party Agreement with UNDP.
