About
The United Nations International Children’s Emergency Fund (UNICEF) Bosnia and Herzegovina is seeking a qualified NGO partner to support the expansion of the IT Girls programme under the broader Power4Girls initiative. The programme aims to empower adolescent girls with practical digital, technical, STEM, and transferable skills while increasing their confidence, leadership, and interest in technology-related education and careers. The intervention will be implemented across selected schools in Zenica-Doboj Canton, Herzegovina-Neretva Canton, West Herzegovina Canton, and Brčko District as part of a wider expansion reaching 200 schools and approximately 6,500 additional girls. Activities include establishing and supporting IT Girls Clubs, equipping schools with electronic learning kits, delivering teacher training on programming and gender-responsive approaches, facilitating mentorship programmes with female STEM professionals, integrating emerging technology topics such as Artificial Intelligence, Blockchain, and Gaming, adapting learning methodologies and materials, implementing communication and outreach initiatives, and supporting adolescent-led monitoring and feedback mechanisms. The grant seeks to strengthen girls’ participation in STEM fields and address barriers that limit educational and career opportunities, particularly among marginalized groups. Grant size and project duration were not specified in the call information provided.
