CFAs: Independent Medical Education Grant for Colorectal Cancer
About
The Pfizer Independent Medical Education Grant supports initiatives that strengthen biomarker testing and clinical decision-making in colorectal cancer across Latin America. The program focuses on advancing knowledge of guideline-recommended biomarker testing, exploring emerging evidence and best practices in precision oncology, and integrating biomarker testing into clinical pathways to improve patient outcomes. Projects are expected to address diagnostic and practice gaps, enhance awareness among healthcare professionals, and promote the appropriate use of biomarker-driven management strategies.
Funding is available for independent medical education projects implemented in Mexico, Brazil, Colombia, Peru, Chile, and Argentina. Grants may range from USD 50,000–100,000 for single-country projects, and up to USD 200,000 for multi-country initiatives with regional impact. The total available budget for this call is USD 250,000. Supported activities include professional education programs developed by academic institutions, healthcare organizations, professional societies, and other entities dedicated to healthcare improvement.
Eligibility
Applications are open to organizations only; individuals and independent medical practice groups are not eligible. Eligible applicants include medical, dental, nursing, allied health, and pharmacy schools; healthcare institutions; professional organizations and medical societies; and medical education companies. The project lead must be an employee or contractor of the requesting organization, which must be able to receive funding directly from Pfizer Inc. For projects offering continuing education credits, the applicant organization must hold appropriate accreditation. Proposals will be evaluated on their relevance to program goals, capacity to address practice gaps, and potential for measurable impact on colorectal cancer care in the region.
