The World Food Programme (WFP) is seeking implementing partners to deliver integrated nutrition interventions in the Far North Region of Cameroon aimed at preventing all forms of malnutrition among vulnerable populations. The program focuses on improving access to adequate, safe, and nutritious foods for children aged 6 to 23 months, pregnant and lactating women, adolescent girls, and other at-risk groups. Interventions will include social and behavior change communication to promote appropriate infant and young child feeding practices and other nutrition-sensitive family behaviors. The initiative also seeks to strengthen local capacity for the production and processing of age-appropriate, fortified, and nutritious foods, enhance community-based nutrition screening systems for the early detection and referral of malnutrition cases, and support field-level capacity building to improve program implementation. Baseline and endline assessments will be conducted to measure progress and evaluate impact. Activities will be implemented in the Far North Region of Cameroon. Grant size and project duration have not been specified in the call.

Eligibility

Applicants must demonstrate the technical and operational capacity to deliver a comprehensive package of nutrition interventions in the Far North Region of Cameroon. Eligible organizations should be capable of implementing community-based nutrition programming targeting vulnerable groups, conducting social and behavior change communication activities, supporting nutrition-sensitive food production and processing initiatives, strengthening nutrition screening and referral mechanisms, and carrying out monitoring and evaluation activities, including baseline and endline studies. Proposals will be assessed based on the applicant’s ability to effectively achieve the program’s expected nutrition outcomes, implement activities at community level, strengthen local capacities, and ensure quality delivery of integrated nutrition interventions in the target area.
