adidas Foundation: Recovery Through Sport Program Call for Applications 2026

Grant Size more than $1 million   ,   Closing Date

About

The adidas Foundation has launched the "Recovery Through Sport" program, seeking up to three partner organizations to co-design and deliver long-term initiatives that leverage sport and physical activity to promote the recovery of children and young people affected by crisis and displacement. Rather than operating as a short-term grant, this multi-year, conditions-based initiative provides up to EUR 6 million in total funding across all selected partners to build and test scalable models in complex, changing environments. The program emphasizes established safeguarding practices, rigorous evidence creation, and sustained collaboration to ensure safe, meaningful participation in crisis and recovery settings.

Eligibility

Eligible applicants are established organizations with demonstrated expertise in humanitarian response and recovery, as well as proven experience integrating sport or physical activity into crisis-affected or recovery contexts. Candidates must possess operational reach across multiple crisis or recovery settings, established Mental Health and Psychosocial Support (MHPSS) capacity, robust institutional safeguarding systems, and the organizational judgment needed to navigate complex environments. Additionally, applicants must demonstrate an institutional interest in research and evidence generation, along with the organizational mandate, appetite, and capacity for multi-year, long-term collaboration.
