The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), in collaboration with the National Rehabilitation Commission of Ethiopia, invites civil society organizations and NGOs to implement activities under the Support to the National Demobilization and Reintegration Programme (SNDRP). This initiative aims to facilitate the demobilization and reintegration of ex‑combatants (XCs) across Ethiopia, with a particular focus on women, persons with disabilities, and youth.

The program addresses urgent needs in the early stages of disarmament, demobilization, and reintegration (DDR), while building foundations for long‑term peacebuilding and institutional resilience. Specifically, this call targets Output 4 of the SNDRP, which supports vulnerable groups requiring mental health and psychosocial support (MHPSS), services for survivors of sexual and gender‑based violence (SGBV), and rehabilitation interventions.

Eligible activities include disability assessment and categorization, provision of physiotherapy and rehabilitation services, training for caretakers and assistants, gender‑ and trauma‑informed support for women XCs, and procurement and distribution of assistive devices such as prosthetics, crutches, and wheelchairs. The program emphasizes an ecosystem approach to partnerships, engaging diverse stakeholders to promote gender equality, empower women, and strengthen the well‑being of vulnerable populations during reintegration.

Eligibility

Applications are open to civil society organizations and NGOs legally registered and operating in Ethiopia. Applicants must demonstrate proven expertise in delivering health, psychosocial, and rehabilitation services, with a strong community presence and capacity to support vulnerable groups including women, persons with disabilities, and youth. Organizations should show ability to collaborate effectively with UNDP, the National Rehabilitation Commission, and other stakeholders, ensuring accountability, inclusiveness, and sustainability in program delivery. Preference will be given to applicants with experience in gender‑responsive programming, disability inclusion, and community‑based reintegration support.
