The Women in Agriculture Award provides an international platform for women in the agricultural sector to highlight their achievements and contributions.

The competition is structured around four main categories. The Farming category recognizes women directly involved in agricultural production, with the majority of their income derived from farming. The Agribusiness category is intended for those offering products, services, or solutions that support farmers without being primary producers themselves. The Education category includes women engaged in teaching, training, or sharing agricultural knowledge. The Technology and Research category focuses on individuals developing, testing, or commercializing innovative, research-based solutions in agriculture.

Award winners benefit from increased visibility and opportunities to connect with international experts in the field. The award is jointly organized by the German Agricultural Society (DLG) and Women in Ag magazine, and is presented across four categories during major industry events such as AGRITECHNICA or EuroTier.

Eligibility

The award is open to women worldwide who are engaged in agriculture, agribusiness, animal farming, research and development, teaching, journalism, blogging, or influencing, provided that their work aligns with one of the four award categories.
