The United Nations International Children’s Emergency Fund (UNICEF) invites civil society organisations and academic institutions in Argentina to collaborate with its Health and Nutrition Area in strengthening policies, systems, and services that promote the health, nutrition, development, and well-being of children and adolescents. This programme focuses on reducing maternal and child morbidity and mortality, advancing Early Childhood Development (ECD), addressing perinatal and adolescent mental health, improving nutrition outcomes, and reinforcing immunisation systems.

Funding will support activities such as technical assistance, evidence generation and application, development of tools and intervention models, institutional and community capacity building, strengthening information and monitoring systems, intersectoral coordination, improving access and quality of services, and emergency response actions. Projects are expected to deliver measurable improvements in child and adolescent health and nutrition across Argentina, with emphasis on sustainable systems strengthening and innovative approaches.

Eligibility

Eligible applicants include legally established civil society organisations and academic institutions in Argentina, such as foundations, civil associations, study centres, universities, and non-governmental organisations, provided they are not listed on United Nations Security Council sanctions lists. Applicants must demonstrate proven expertise in health and/or nutrition, child and adolescent rights, and at least one of the thematic areas of the call. Experience working with national, provincial, or local governments, territorial implementation capacity, sound financial management systems, and the ability to mobilise qualified technical teams or partnerships are required.

Applications must be submitted through the UNICEF UN Partner Portal, including an institutional presentation, portfolio, and the required expression of interest document. Proposals will be evaluated based on relevance to expected results (25%), sector expertise and experience (25%), project management capacity (20%), prior collaboration with UN organisations (5%), contribution of resources and added value as a UNICEF partner (10%), and the suitability of the proposed team for priority themes (15%).
