Submit Applications for IWRS Small Meeting Support Grants
About
The Insect Welfare Research Society (IWRS) invites applications for its Small Meeting Support Grants, designed to strengthen collaboration and knowledge exchange among researchers and stakeholders working on insect and invertebrate welfare. The program supports standalone in‑person or virtual meetings, workshops, and conferences that advance research on insect welfare and the welfare of terrestrial and aquatic invertebrates. Grants of up to USD 2,000 are available to cover eligible costs such as travel reimbursements, technical support, registration fee waivers, meeting space, food, and childcare assistance. Priority is given to proposals that promote accessibility and equitable participation from the global research and stakeholder community. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis, with organizers required to submit at least 90 days before the scheduled event.
Eligibility
Applicants must be members of the organizing committee for the proposed event and may come from any discipline or career stage. There are no nationality restrictions; however, funding cannot be awarded to recipients or events located in jurisdictions subject to United Nations or United States trade restrictions or sanctions. Applications from professional fundraisers or conference agencies are not eligible. Submissions must be completed in English using the official application form and sent as a PDF attachment to [email protected], following the instructions provided on the program webpage.
