Grant Size $10,000 to $100,000   ,   Closing Date

About

The Funding Collective Progress grant is a global impact initiative designed to support grassroots projects, organizations, and changemakers working at the intersection of ocean health and climate action. By offering accessible, low-barrier funding, the program aims to strengthen partnerships, empower local communities, and drive measurable environmental and social impact worldwide. Projects must align with one of three strategic pillars: Community of Care and Climate Resilience, Plastic Life Cycle, or Maritime Ecosystem. The grant provides up to €10,000 for a project duration of 12 months. Eligible activities include localized ocean conservation efforts, climate resilience initiatives, and impactful community-based work, all of which require consistent impact measurement and reporting throughout the funding cycle.

Eligibility

This opportunity is open to a diverse range of global applicants, including non-governmental organizations (NGOs), foundations, grassroots initiatives, activists, academic and research projects, social enterprises, and impact start-ups with established, impact-driven initiatives. Evaluation considerations will prioritize applicants who demonstrate a proven track record of meaningful engagement in community, ocean, or climate work, alongside a clear framework for project reporting and collective action. Ineligible applicants include conventional, profit-driven businesses, individuals without a documented history of activism, and any projects deemed to be greenwashing activities.
