Call for Applications: Global Pathology Development Grant
About
The Global Pathology Development Grant is seeking applications to improve global health and strengthen the science and expansion of pathology services by supporting sustainable international projects in under-resourced areas.
The grant supports projects focused on education and training, patient care, laboratory quality improvement, enhanced technology and laboratory diagnostics, technical guidance and support for laboratories regarding the selection of lab tests, supplies, and equipment, development of standard operating procedures and laboratory budgets, evaluation of current laboratory capacity and expansion plans, upgrading pathology technologies to meet international quality standards, systems strengthening initiatives such as laboratory accreditation improvement programs, local capacity building through continued education of pathologists and laboratory staff, innovative programs supporting anatomic and clinical pathology services, and exploratory meetings and forums that encourage networking on international pathology and laboratory quality issues.
The grant offers funding of up to $10,000 USD to organizations and individuals working with limited budgets to promote pathology services in underserved regions around the world. The initiative encourages impactful and sustainable projects that contribute to the long-term development and expansion of pathology services.
Applications are reviewed based on the merit of the project and how closely the proposed activities align with the objectives of the grant. The program particularly supports projects that can strengthen laboratory systems, improve diagnostic services, and build local expertise in pathology and laboratory operations.
