Call for Applications: Preservation Grant Program 2026
About
The Preservation Grant Program of the Latin GRAMMY Cultural Foundation (PGP) supports initiatives that archive and safeguard Latin music heritage worldwide. The program focuses on preserving music genres, documenting traditions, conducting archival research, and promoting international awareness of Latin music’s cultural contributions. Eligible projects may include folklore preservation, cultural safeguarding, and long‑term protection of musical heritage across selected countries in Latin America, Europe, and North America. Two Preservation Grants are available, each offering up to USD 5,000 to support projects dedicated to documentation, archiving, and heritage conservation. Grants are awarded for a maximum duration of twelve months, ensuring focused, time‑bound efforts that do not overlap with previously funded projects.
Eligibility
Applicants must be organizations engaged in projects that advance the archiving and preservation of Latin music heritage. Applications may require submission of audited financial revenue, fiscal agent details, overhead cost coverage, and prior audit status to ensure accountability and transparency. The program does not fund entities affiliated with The Latin Recording Academy or GRAMMY Museum, nor individuals or organizations that discriminate based on protected characteristics. Ineligible activities include non‑Latin music research, commercial reissues or textbooks, ongoing business operations, advocacy or political initiatives, competitions, purchase or repair of musical instruments, and computer system upgrades. Proposals are evaluated based on eligibility compliance, financial accountability, and the overall contribution to safeguarding Latin music heritage.
