About

The Allianz MoveNow Social Innovation Challenge is an award competition for youth-led impact startups and projects developing solutions to social and environmental challenges in underserved communities.

The challenge welcomes solutions in three areas: strengthening entrepreneurs and SMEs through digital tools, skills, and financial knowledge; addressing systemic gaps in health research, services, and diagnostics, particularly for women and marginalized groups; and helping vulnerable rural and urban communities prepare for and adapt to climate change. Applicants are encouraged to use AI and emerging technologies responsibly and ethically, with inclusive design and digital accessibility in mind.

It awards multiple prizes of $5,000 and $10,000 USD, with $30,000 allocated to each of the three award categories and $90,000 in total. Finalist founders also receive free founder and startup support, exclusive learning materials, and an Allianz business mentor; eligible applicants gain access to year-round opportunities, including grant awards, paid work, and training with Social Shifters.

Eligibility

Eligible applicants must be youth-led social startups, ventures, or projects whose founders are between 18 and 30 years old and have clear decision-making authority. Applicants must address a clearly defined social or environmental issue and demonstrate measurable social outputs and impact. Young people anywhere in the world are included in Social Shifters’ global community and programs.
