CFAs: 100x Impact Accelerator Supports Scalable Solutions to Global Challenges
About
The 100x Impact Accelerator (100xIA) provides catalytic funding and long-term strategic support to social ventures with evidence-based solutions that are ready to scale their impact globally. The programme aims to identify and support the next generation of “social unicorns” capable of improving the lives of hundreds of millions, or even billions, of people. It supports ventures addressing major global challenges across sectors including climate and environment, health and social care, education, equitable economies, happiness and wellbeing, refugee integration and social cohesion, democracy, and emerging fields in science and technology. Selected organisations receive £150,000 in catalytic funding and participate in a tailored 16-week accelerator programme, complemented by ongoing partnership support, access to research expertise from the London School of Economics, and connections to a global network of funders, advisers, and peers. Funding is intended to strengthen pathways to scale and support activities that enhance organisational growth, strategic development, evidence generation, impact expansion, and long-term sustainability. Additional follow-on funding may be available for selected ventures subject to strategic fit and funding availability. The programme has a global geographic focus and is designed for organisations seeking to expand proven solutions to match the scale of the societal challenges they address.
Eligibility
Applicants must be social ventures that have developed an evidence-based solution with demonstrated potential for large-scale impact. Eligible organisations should clearly articulate a significant social or environmental problem, provide credible evidence supporting the effectiveness of their approach, and demonstrate a distinctive model capable of achieving substantial scale. Applicants are expected to show a strong track record of adoption, measurable outcomes, and organisational growth, supported by entrepreneurial leadership with the ambition, capability, and commitment to expand impact globally. During the assessment process, particular consideration will be given to the strength of the evidence base, the scale of the problem being addressed, the effectiveness and uniqueness of the solution, demonstrated results, and the organisation’s readiness and capacity to achieve transformational growth.
