CFAs: CSOs and Academia on Inclusive Finance and Development Partnerships (Honduras)
About
The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) is seeking to identify national and international civil society organizations and academic institutions with proven expertise to support initiatives in sustainable economic development, financial inclusion, and institutional strengthening. The program aims to enhance access to inclusive financial services for underserved populations—particularly rural producers, women, and youth—while building resilient local systems that foster productivity, market integration, and territorial investment.
Funding will support activities such as the design and evaluation of development programs, creation of inclusive financial products (credit, savings, insurance, guarantee funds), implementation of financing models linked to productivity and markets, and provision of technical assistance integrated with credit services. Additional areas include strengthening public financial management, developing business and investment plans, facilitating multi-stakeholder platforms for territorial investment, and producing operational manuals and training materials. Selected partners will contribute to evidence-based programming and innovative financial solutions aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals.
Eligibility
Eligible applicants include national and international civil society organizations and academic institutions with demonstrated technical expertise and practical experience in development finance, program evaluation, and institutional capacity building. Applicants must show a track record in designing and implementing financial mechanisms that improve productivity, market access, and economic resilience, as well as in strengthening governance systems and public financial management. Proposals will be evaluated based on organizational capacity, relevance of experience, ability to deliver innovative solutions, and commitment to collaborative approaches involving multiple stakeholders.
