The Nutrition CFP 2027 – West Darfur is a funding opportunity launched by the World Food Programme (WFP) to support integrated food and nutrition interventions addressing acute malnutrition and food insecurity in West Darfur, Sudan. The program responds to the worsening humanitarian situation driven by conflict, displacement, limited access to health and nutrition services, and increasing levels of food insecurity. Through this call, WFP seeks partners to implement comprehensive nutrition assistance combining food support through in-kind distributions and cash-based transfers with nutrition education, social and behaviour change activities, and community engagement initiatives. Interventions will prioritize areas experiencing the highest levels of food insecurity and Global Acute Malnutrition, with a specific focus on children aged 6–59 months and pregnant and breastfeeding women and girls most vulnerable to malnutrition. Expected outcomes include improved nutritional recovery and health status among affected populations, enhanced access to quality treatment and continuity of care, improved infant and young child feeding and hygiene practices, and stronger community participation and accountability mechanisms in nutrition service delivery.

Eligibility

Applicants must be legally registered non-governmental, non-profit, and non-political organizations operating in Sudan and must hold a valid technical agreement with the Ministry of Health at either the federal or state level. Eligible organizations should demonstrate substantial experience in nutrition programming, including the implementation of acute malnutrition interventions, as well as strong project management and financial management capacities. Applicants are expected to have a proven operational track record within the proposed target locations and the ability to deliver effective and accountable nutrition services. During the evaluation process, preference will be given to organizations with an established and cost-efficient presence in the relevant operational areas and clusters, demonstrated expertise in managing nutrition interventions, and the capacity to achieve results in complex humanitarian settings.
