About

The U.S. Mission to Indonesia announces the American Innovation Hub: AI & Digital Skills for the Creative & Tech Economy program, designed to strengthen AI and digital skills development while fostering innovation through five American Corners in Pontianak, Malang, Yogyakarta, Ambon, and Makassar. The initiative will transform these Corners into Innovation Hubs equipped with U.S. AI hardware, licensed American AI software, and enhanced staff capacity. Program activities include AI Skills Labs, digital content creation, podcasts, AI‑generated music and visual art, short animated films, online campaigns, local hackathons, and a national Grand Final. Target beneficiaries include Indonesian youth, creative professionals, and MSMEs, with the goal of training at least 1,500 participants and producing measurable outputs. The program will be implemented under a cooperative agreement valued at approximately USD 263,114, supporting staff recruitment and training, hub development, content production, partnership building, and monitoring and reporting. The U.S. Mission will remain actively engaged in program design, branding, training curricula, partner selection, and oversight to ensure compliance and impact.

Eligibility

Applications are invited from not‑for‑profit organizations such as think tanks, civil society groups, and NGOs, as well as public and private educational institutions and individuals. For‑profit entities are not eligible. The selected recipient must demonstrate capacity to implement activities across all five American Corners, recruit and supervise local staff in Malang, Yogyakarta, and Makassar, strengthen staff skills, manage partnerships, deliver programming, and ensure compliance with U.S. Mission branding and reporting requirements. Proposals will be evaluated on organizational capacity, experience in AI and digital skills programming, ability to manage partnerships and staff, and commitment to achieving measurable results in line with program objectives.
