Call for Proposals: Lead NGOs for Territorial Youth Interventions (Tunisia)
About
The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in Tunisia invites applications from leading NGOs to serve as Responsible Parties for the TARABOT III Project. This initiative seeks to coordinate and implement territorial interventions that enhance youth inclusion, psychosocial support, and socio‑economic integration across targeted regions. In response to persistent challenges such as high unemployment, territorial disparities, and limited access to services, TARABOT III aims to strengthen youth resilience and social cohesion through integrated, locally adapted activities.
Three NGOs will be selected to lead interventions in specific regions: Sfax and Gabès; Siliana, Kasserine, and Kairouan; and Grand Tunis (Douar Hicher). Each lead NGO will design, coordinate, and implement comprehensive programs in collaboration with local civil society organizations, public institutions, and community stakeholders. Activities will focus on improving youth access to tailored services, preventing risky behaviors, and fostering psychosocial and socio‑economic support. Indicative funding of approximately 300,000 Tunisian dinars (TND) per project will be provided under a Responsible Party Agreement, with final amounts, duration, and disbursement schedules determined following selection and action plan validation. Funding is contingent upon organizational capacity assessments and resource availability.
Eligibility
Eligible applicants are legally constituted and registered NGOs in Tunisia with proven expertise in youth inclusion, social cohesion, territorial development, psychosocial support, or socio‑economic integration. Applicants must demonstrate strong technical, administrative, and financial capacity, as well as experience managing significant funding. Organizations should also show the ability to coordinate effectively with multiple stakeholders, including local civil society partners and public institutions. Evaluation will consider organizational capacity, relevant experience, and the feasibility of proposed interventions to achieve sustainable impact in the targeted regions.
