Help For Children (HFC) invites applications from high‑impact organizations committed to protecting children, strengthening families, and building safer, more resilient communities. The program provides single‑year grants to support effective initiatives in four key areas: direct services, education, advocacy, and research. Funded activities may include counseling, mentoring, home visits, case management, skill‑building programs for children and parents, professional training for practitioners, policy development, legal advocacy, public awareness campaigns, and rigorous qualitative or quantitative studies. HFC employs a unique grantmaking model that combines expertise from academic consultants, social welfare specialists, and industry professionals to ensure investments target proven, high‑impact solutions. Grants are designed to strengthen resilience in children and families worldwide, with a strong emphasis on preventing and treating child abuse. Multi‑year funding is not available; all awards are limited to single‑year projects.

Eligibility

Eligible applicants include registered charities, NGOs, government ministries, and 501(c)(3) organizations operating within designated funding communities. These include Hong Kong; Grand Cayman & Cayman Brac in the Cayman Islands; the Metropolitan Toronto Area in Canada; the Greater Denver Area, Greater Los Angeles Region, Tri‑State Area (NY, NJ, CT), Greater Atlanta Area, specific counties in the San Francisco Bay Area (Alameda, Contra Costa, Marin, San Francisco, San Mateo, Napa, and Solano), a 100‑mile radius from Chicago, and the Twin Cities in the United States; as well as London and Southeast regions in the United Kingdom. HFC does not fund lobbying activities, annual fundraising drives, projects undertaken by individuals, or multi‑year initiatives. Applicants must demonstrate proven effectiveness in their proposed programs and align with HFC’s mission to prevent and treat child abuse through resilience‑building strategies.
