The Slovak Agency for International Development Cooperation has launched the Call for Proposals – Small Grants 2026 to support development cooperation projects in Lebanon and Iraq.

The submitted projects must focus on sectors identified in the Medium-term Strategy for Development Cooperation of the Slovak Republic for 2025–2030, including infrastructure and sustainable use of natural resources, food security and agriculture, supporting the creation of a market environment, good health, quality education, and good governance and building civil society. Cross-cutting themes include environment and climate change, as well as gender equality.

Under this call, the maximum grant amount available per project is EUR 10,000, with the recommended amount also set at EUR 10,000. The total budget allocation for the call is EUR 30,000. Selected projects are expected to run for a duration of six to twelve months, beginning immediately after the small grant agreement enters into effect.

Eligibility

The call is open to registered non-entrepreneurial and non-commercial legal entities, non-governmental organizations, and local or regional self-government units. However, applicants subject to international sanctions under Slovak legislation or entities against which the Slovak Republic has a financial claim are not eligible to apply.

Applicants are required to submit proof of the organization’s registration, curriculum vitae of the statutory representative and project manager, and completed GDPR forms for both individuals. Templates for the Small Grant Agreement, Financial Report, and Small Grant Completion Report are not required during the application stage.
