Open Call for Victam Foundation Funding Program
About
The Victam Foundation Innovation Grants 2027 (VFIG 2027) support innovative projects that advance the animal feed and flour milling industries. The program aims to foster sustainable and future-oriented solutions through three funding categories: future-proof feed technology, including initiatives that reduce energy consumption and CO₂ emissions, enhance animal welfare, and strengthen regional production chains; new feed technology techniques focused on resource efficiency and emerging production chains; and projects that strengthen animal production chains, particularly in developing countries. Funding is intended for projects that demonstrate innovation, scientific grounding, economic potential, and social relevance, while promoting practical industry development. Grants of up to €50,000 for one-year projects or €40,000 per year for multi-year projects are available, subject to a well-justified budget and financial rationale. Activities may include research, technology development, applied innovation, pilot initiatives, and implementation-oriented projects that contribute to the advancement of the animal feed and flour milling sectors worldwide, with particular attention to opportunities in developing countries.
Eligibility
Applications are open to universities, research institutes, industry associations, organizations, companies, and eligible commercial entities. Applicants may submit proposals under one or more funding categories, provided a clear justification is presented for the selected focus areas. Projects will be assessed based on their level of innovation, scientific substantiation, economic viability, and social relevance. For initiatives implemented in developing countries, particular consideration will be given to evidence of local support, investment commitment, and the feasibility of practical implementation. Co-financing from additional funding sources is encouraged and will be viewed positively during the evaluation process.
