About

The Foundation for the Protection of the Environment, Food, and Health offers grants to institutions and non-profit organizations working to develop sustainable and effective solutions in the fields of environmental conservation, agriculture and food, and public health. The Foundation aims to empower local communities by supporting projects that seek to improve quality of life, enhance institutional capacity, and build local leadership in resource-limited countries—particularly in Africa, Asia, Latin America, the Caribbean, and the Middle East.


Grant Overview

The grant focuses on supporting innovative, field-based projects that:

  • Promote the conservation of natural resources and biodiversity.

  • Develop and support sustainable agricultural practices.

  • Promote effective and integrated health solutions within communities.

  • Build institutional and community capacities.

  • Contribute to systemic change and effective public policies.


General Conditions

  • The project must be non-profit in nature.

  • It must be feasible and address clear issues within one or more of the three focus areas: environment, food, or health.

  • The project should reflect a genuine partnership with local communities.

  • The project must not be commercial or for-profit.

  • The budget must not include large indirect or general operating costs.

  • Not eligible:

  • Government agencies and religious institutions (unless they are project partners).

  • Individuals.

  • Projects implemented in Eastern Europe or former Soviet Union countries.


Application Requirements

The application process is conducted online in two phases:

1. Concept Application:

  • A summary of the project, its goals, and target beneficiaries.

  • Basic information about the organization.

  • A preliminary estimated budget.

2. Full Proposal (only requested from selected applicants):

  • A detailed implementation plan.

  • Problem and context analysis.

  • A detailed budget.

  • Monitoring and evaluation strategies.

  • Documents verifying the organization’s legal status.

Eligibility

Applicants must be:

  • A non-profit organization, educational institution, or civil society organization.

  • Operating within one of the following regions: Africa, Asia, Latin America, the Caribbean, or the Middle East.

  • Organizations based in high-income countries (such as Europe or North America) may also apply if they work in partnership with local organizations in eligible regions.
