Call for Proposals: Transition Promotion Program Projects
About
The Embassy of the Czech Republic in Manila has announced the opening of the Transition Promotion Programme (TRANS) for Projects to be implemented in 2026 across a selected group of Pacific Island and Southeast Asian nations including the Philippines, the Federated States of Micronesia, the Marshall Islands, Palau and Nauru.
This call offers an opportunity for eligible organisations to submit project proposals addressing key themes such as civil society development, freedom of expression, equal political participation, rule of law, anti-discrimination and environmental human rights.
Projects may span up to eight months, beginning March 1, 2026 and concluding by October 31, 2026, with a maximum budget of CZK 500,000 per project. The funding can cover initiatives from CZK 100,000 upward, and is structured to support non-governmental and non-political entities operating in the eligible countries. Implementing bodies must provide proof of legal registration and authorised signatory status when submitting applications, and budgets should be set in Czech crowns using the exchange rate provided by the Embassy.
Eligibility
Eligible applicants will need to develop proposals that align closely with national development priorities of their countries and reflect one or more of the thematic areas promoted under the Czech Republic’s human rights and transition policy. The Embassy emphasises the importance of submitting the correctly completed identification form, supporting legal documentation, and all materials via email by the deadline of December 8, 2025. Expenses incurred by projects are reimbursed post-implementation upon receipt of original invoices, and work may only begin following contract signature.
For organisations committed to advancing democracy, human rights, institution-building or environmental justice in the region, this funding call represents a strategic opportunity to access targeted grants, strengthen local partnerships and drive tangible transition outcomes. Applicants are encouraged to prepare detailed, feasible project plans that clearly demonstrate relevance, viability and sustainability.
