About

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) is inviting qualified organizations to partner in a new initiative aimed at promoting stability and resilience across four districts in Niassa province—Marrupa, Maua, Metarica, and Nipepe.

This project focuses on supporting civil society, strengthening organizational and financial management, enhancing monitoring and evaluation capacities, and fostering coordination between communities and government structures.

The core objective of the project is to reduce vulnerability and build resilience among communities in Niassa. Through targeted interventions, the initiative aims to support local institutions and improve the overall stability of the region. Organizations selected for partnership will contribute to capacity building, community stabilization efforts, and improved coordination between civil society and government entities.

The partnership is expected to run for 12 months, from the first quarter to the end of 2026. Interested organizations must submit proposals with a total budget not exceeding 30,000 USD for the full project period. This budget should align with the proposed activities and demonstrate value for money in achieving the project’s objectives.

Eligibility

To be eligible, organizations must be legally registered to operate in Mozambique and have relevant experience in implementing similar initiatives within the past five years. In addition, applicants must either be based in or have access to the target districts in Niassa. It is also essential that they have adequate staffing and systems in place to respond to and report incidents of sexual harassment and sexual exploitation and abuse.

This call represents a meaningful opportunity for local actors to contribute to sustainable development and social cohesion in some of Niassa’s most vulnerable districts. Organizations with the right experience and local presence are encouraged to apply and support efforts to bring lasting stability to the region.
