Mohammed Bin Rashid Creative Sports Award
The award reflects the thought and philosophy of the top UAE sportsman: His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, who believes in creativity as a mental ability that enables a person to face any challenge and obstacle, solve problems and develop ideas in unprecedented ways.
He says 'If you encounter a challenge that requires a solution or decision, then you are faced with two options: Either to take the idea of your predecessors and follow it, or provoke your creative ability and mental energy to develop a new idea and a new task.'
Accordingly, His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid, , the sponsor of the Award, ordered the launch of the Sports Award in the name of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.
This award is the first of its kind internationally in the field of athletic creativity with its various aspects and specializations.
