The U.S. Embassy in Baghdad has announced that funding is available through its Public Affair Section (PAS) for a project to organize an Alumni Day in Baghdad.

This program seeks to bring together approximately 100 alumni of U.S. Government exchange programs for a one-day conference in spring 2019. The goal of the conference, “Alumni Day,” is to facilitate networking and contact development among alumni and between alumni and members of the U.S. Mission in Iraq, to address topics of interest to this community, and to identify leaders for roles in future alumni activities. The conference will include opening remarks by Embassy staff and a to-be-identified alumnus as key note speaker, presentations by select alumni on topics of interest to this community (e.g. entrepreneurship, employment, STEM, religious pluralism, and/or women’s empowerment), networking opportunities, and a closing ceremony that include remarks by Embassy staff and musical entertainment.
