Request for Applications: Incubator Grant Program
من نحن
The Mito Foundation’s Incubator Grant Program supports innovative research projects with the potential to deliver meaningful impact for the mitochondrial disease community. This funding mechanism is designed to help researchers generate preliminary data that can strengthen future applications for external funding and advance the broader field of mitochondrial disease research. Grants are intended for new or early-stage projects rather than established programs, and proposals must demonstrate originality and relevance to primary mitochondrial disease. The Foundation encourages, but does not require, co-funding partnerships with other organizations. Grants of up to A$25,000 are available for a maximum duration of 12 months. Funding cannot be used for on-costs, infrastructure, or other indirect expenses. Successful applicants will be required to comply with reporting and compliance obligations as outlined in the funding agreement.
معايير القبول
Applications are open to both Australian and international researchers, provided the proposed research focuses on primary mitochondrial disease. All submissions undergo expert peer review. Applicants must submit a completed application form, a CV (maximum two pages), and, if applicable, CVs for co-investigators or group leaders. Previous recipients of Mito Foundation funding must confirm that all reporting requirements are up to date. Compliance with the Foundation’s reporting and accountability standards is mandatory for all grantees.
