Call for Proposals: EDI and Outreach Grants
من نحن
The EDI and Outreach Grants Programme supports innovative projects that advance accessibility, inclusion, and outreach in molecular biosciences. The scheme aims to strengthen participation, promote equality, diversity, and inclusion (EDI) principles, and engage underrepresented communities through education, research, and public engagement. Priority areas include supporting carers in STEM, addressing attitudinal barriers toward LGBTQ+ groups, ensuring diverse representation on panels and platforms, enabling women and minoritised groups to access senior roles, engaging young people from minoritised backgrounds in STEM, and improving accessibility for people with disabilities. Grants of up to £1,000 are available to individuals, groups, charities, and not-for-profit organisations worldwide. Projects must begin at least one month after the application deadline and may run for a maximum of eight months. The programme is designed to foster a more inclusive molecular bioscience community by elevating diverse voices and removing barriers to participation.
معايير القبول
Eligible applicants include individuals, groups, charities, and not-for-profit organisations from any country. Applicants do not need to be members of the Biochemical Society. Projects must explicitly promote EDI principles and/or outreach within molecular biosciences as their primary goal. Funding cannot be awarded to the same applicant in consecutive years, and applicants may not exceed a cumulative maximum of £2,000 across the Biochemical Society grants portfolio within a three-year period. Proposals will be evaluated based on their alignment with programme priorities, feasibility, and potential impact in advancing accessibility and inclusion.
