Call for Partners for the Mantapala Refugee Livelihoods and Self-Reliance Programme (Zambia)
من نحن
The World Food Programme (WFP) invites proposals for the Mantapala Refugee Livelihoods and Self-Reliance Programme (SLABS) in Luapula, Zambia. This initiative aims to advance food and nutrition security, enhance self-reliance, expand livelihood opportunities, improve education access—particularly early childhood development—and support smallholder farmers. Aligned with four core WFP Strategic Outcomes, the programme addresses urgent food and nutrition needs for crisis-affected populations including refugees, promotes year-round consumption of safe and nutrient-dense foods, and fortifies climate resilience and economic opportunities for smallholder farmers with a focus on women, youth, and people with disabilities. Additionally, it strengthens government-led social protection systems such as home-grown school meals and disaster preparedness. Eligible activities encompass cash and voucher assistance, agricultural market support, nutrition interventions, and educational capacity development.
