SENSE Foundation Brussels Grants for Health and Sustainability
من نحن
The SENSE Foundation Brussels supports impactful initiatives led by non-profit organizations operating within Belgium and internationally. This program provides one-off grants of up to €25,000 to advance scientific research, environmental protection, sustainable development, and health improvements—with a specific emphasis on genetics and nutrition. The funding scope extends to educational scholarships, arts and culture, and the promotion of inclusion, equality, and diversity, including dedicated support for women in STEM and minorities. Additionally, the Foundation offers charitable assistance for individuals experiencing temporary hardship. Grants are designed to cover a maximum of 25% of the total annual project cost, including staff expenses, with an allowance of up to 10% for overhead. While most funding is awarded as a single contribution, multi-year support may be considered for university-related student programs.
معايير القبول
To be eligible, applicants must be legally registered non-profit organizations with a minimum of two years of operational experience. The Foundation excludes organizations or projects with overhead ratios exceeding 20%. Ineligible requests include incomplete applications, previously rejected projects, commercial sponsorships, fundraising events, and initiatives affiliated with political or religious organizations or those promoting specific ideologies.
Successful proposals must demonstrate alignment with at least two of the Foundation’s core objectives and show a clear commitment to inclusion and diversity. Evaluations are based on the clarity and feasibility of the project methodology, the sustainability of the intended impact, and the potential for the initiative to scale or attract additional funding. Applicants must provide a robust explanation of the problem addressed, clear intended outcomes, and a transparent plan for the effective use of funds.
