من نحن

This funding opportunity invites proposals aimed at developing high-throughput publishing workflows that support the sharing and regular updating of biodiversity data derived from DNA barcoding and metabarcoding across the global GBIF network. Funded projects must focus on large DNA or biodiversity data resources capable of being published under an open CC0 1.0 or CC BY 4.0 license through automated data-sharing pipelines. The maximum available funding is €20,000 per project, with disbursements made in installments tied to agreed deliverables. The project timeline runs through 2027, including mandatory participation in a start-up webinar in March 2027 and a mid-project meeting in June 2027. Eligible activities include software and workflow development for data integration, whereas fieldwork, collection of new field data, laboratory research to capture new data, overhead costs, bank fees, postal or courier costs, exchange-rate loss compensations, and reimbursable taxes are excluded.

معايير القبول

Applicants must be recognized legal entities, such as research institutions, universities, museums, non-governmental organizations (NGOs), or government agencies, possessing the demonstrated technical capacity to design and implement advanced data-sharing pipelines. At the time of application and evaluation, applicants must be officially registered and endorsed as a GBIF data publisher and have formally accepted the GBIF Data Publisher Agreement.
