من نحن

The United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) has launched a Call for Expression of Interest to secure strategic partners for its Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH) programmes in Pakistan. Implemented under the UNICEF Pakistan Country Programme Document 2023–2027, this initiative aims to expand access to safely managed, equitable, and climate-resilient WASH services for children and vulnerable communities. The program’s geographic focus spans Balochistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Sindh, Punjab, and the Federal Territories. Eligible activities encompass infrastructure development (including renewable energy integration, community consultations, and design oversight), basic sanitation and hygiene promotion, and WASH enhancements in schools and healthcare facilities. Additionally, the funding supports social and behavioral change communication, nature-based solutions (such as wastewater treatment and aquifer recharge), evidence generation, and emergency preparedness. By combining UNICEF’s expertise with local capacity, this multi-year initiative seeks to deploy scalable, evidence-based service models that strengthen institutional governance and improve overall public health against climate-related disasters.

معايير القبول

Applicants must be legally registered Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) or eligible non-profit institutions with a demonstrated operational presence in the targeted regions of Pakistan. To be considered for this partnership, applicants must exhibit robust technical and operational capacity in managing large-scale WASH programs, along with a proven track record in infrastructure development, community engagement, and the mobilization of WASH committees. Evaluation considerations will heavily favor organizations that demonstrate a strong capacity for provincial and district-level government coordination to ensure long-term institutional ownership and sustainable financing. Furthermore, preference will be given to entities that possess verified humanitarian response capabilities for emergency WASH interventions, demonstrate experience with sector-specific sustainability tools (such as WASHFIT), and exhibit the ability to produce high-quality technical documentation and data-driven case studies.
