Call for EOIs: Sustainable Water, Shelter and Essential Services in Cameroon
من نحن
The United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), through its Multi-Country Office in Cameroon, invites applications from strategic partners to support the sustainable inclusion of refugees, stateless persons, and host communities in public water supply and shelter systems across Cameroon. Implemented under the 2027–2031 Multi-Year Multi-Partner Strategy, the initiative seeks to strengthen equitable, sustainable, and inclusive access to water, shelter, and non-food item (NFI) services while advancing the integration of forcibly displaced populations into national and local systems by 2031. The program will build on existing investments in hydraulic infrastructure and service-delivery mechanisms, supporting the transition of services to public management and reinforcing institutional, technical, and financial frameworks for long-term sustainability. Activities may include governance strengthening, institutionalization of service delivery, support to humanitarian-development nexus approaches, integration of infrastructure into municipal planning, localization of responsibilities, system audits, targeted rehabilitation works, deployment of remote management technologies, technical and community capacity building, and the documentation of best practices and scalable models. The initiative has a nationwide focus in refugee-hosting areas of Cameroon and promotes innovative, climate-smart solutions and locally led partnerships. Project implementation is expected to contribute to outcomes under the 2027–2031 strategy framework.
