The Global Landscapes Forum (GLF) invites applications for its 2027 GLFx Chapters Program, an initiative designed to accelerate locally led environmental action across Africa, Asia-Pacific, and Latin America and the Caribbean. The program aims to empower grassroots organizations to drive sustainable landscape restoration and conservation while enhancing food security, climate resilience, and biodiversity recovery. Selected organizations will receive access to a comprehensive support package, which includes seed funding opportunities, fundraising guidance, donor matchmaking, and expert mentorship. Additionally, participants will benefit from capacity-building workshops, digital masterclasses through the GLF Landscape Academy, and heightened global visibility through multimedia storytelling. Supported activities span community-driven reforestation, agroforestry, soil restoration, policy advocacy, and the promotion of green ecopreneurships. Over the course of the project, selected organizations will either establish a new GLFx chapter or integrate into an existing one, actively participating in peer learning exchanges and global networking events to foster long-term, inclusive landscape management.

To be eligible for the program, applicants must be registered civil society entities—such as non-governmental organizations (NGOs), civil society organizations (CSOs), research centers, or social enterprises—or formally accredited local groups. Eligible organizations must be based within Africa, Asia-Pacific, or Latin America and the Caribbean, and must be led by individuals native to or residing in the specific geographic area of operation. Evaluation preference will be given to applicants who demonstrate a proven track record of mobilizing local actors, facilitating community action, and maintaining active partnerships with landscape stakeholders. Strong consideration will also be placed on organizations featuring diverse leadership structures and inclusive governance, particularly those that intentionally champion youth engagement, women's participation, and the leadership of Indigenous Peoples and vulnerable communities.
