من نحن

The 2026 Climate Resilience Grant Program, implemented by the OML Center under Upturn LABS, supports local academic institutions and civil society organizations in piloting innovative climate adaptation solutions to strengthen resilience at the community level. The program prioritizes water-related risks such as rainfall variability, drought, flooding, and their impacts on water resources, food security, and climate-resilient livelihoods, particularly in agriculture and fisheries. It also addresses coastal vulnerability and ecosystem degradation, including risks from sea level rise and coastal hazards.

The OML Center will award Php 500,000 each to the top three successful applicants to implement their selected risk-based adaptation solutions. Funding may cover proposal development, personnel costs, operational expenses, monitoring and evaluation, capacity-building activities, and production of a project overview video. In addition, Php 300,000 will be awarded to the Best Implementing Team to support continuation of their project.

معايير القبول

The grant is open to local academic institutions and civil society organizations (CSOs) legally registered in the Philippines through the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) or equivalent documentation. Applicants must have a dedicated office or unit focused on research in environmental science, sustainable development, or development studies, combined with implementation capacity. In the absence of such a unit, institutions must establish a project team.

Applicants should demonstrate expertise in climate change, environmental management, community development, communications, technology, engineering, or other fields relevant to their proposed solution. Organizations located in the same region as the target site are eligible, and those with existing partnerships with local government units (LGUs), CSOs, or academic institutions will be given preference.

The program excludes individuals, freelancers, institutions, and organizations affiliated with employees of the OML Center, First Philippine Holdings Corporation, its parent company, affiliates, subsidiaries, active service providers for the Challenge, as well as their immediate family members and household members.
