The Culture Resource Wijhat Grants Program provides financial support to artists and cultural practitioners from across the Arab region to participate in cultural and artistic activities at regional and international levels. The program promotes artistic and cultural mobility by enabling participation in festivals, residencies, forums, conferences, seminars, workshops, and training activities. Its primary aim is to foster cultural exchange, professional development, collaboration, and the presentation of artistic work to new audiences both within and outside the Arab region.

Grants of up to €7,000 are available to cover travel-related costs such as airfare, visa fees, accommodation, internal transportation, and partial living expenses during the approved activity period. Funding is linked specifically to the proposed project and covers expenses only within the duration of travel as stated in the application. Supported activities must demonstrate artistic or cultural value and contribute to strengthening regional and international cultural connections.

Applications are open to individual artists, cultural practitioners, and groups from Arab countries, regardless of citizenship or ethnic background. Applicants may reside inside or outside the Arab region, but travel must involve a country in the Arab region either as the origin or destination. Eligible disciplines include visual arts, performing arts, literature, music, cultural management, research, and curation. Applicants must be at least 18 years old, or provide parental/guardian consent if younger. Each applicant may submit only one project per round, and previous grantees must wait 16 months before reapplying.

Applications must include an official invitation or proof of acceptance, passport copy, CV, detailed budget, program of the activity, and documentation of previous work. Proposals are reviewed by an independent three-member jury of cultural practitioners and artists, with membership rotating each round. Selection is based on the relevance of the proposed activity, destination, and overall artistic or cultural merit. Successful applicants must sign a contract and submit both financial and narrative reports upon completion, with grant payments disbursed in two installments.
